Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Variety characteristics: Sauvignon blanc is a green-skinned grape variety which originates from the Bordeaux region of France. The grape gets it name from the French word sauvage ("wild") and blanc ("white") due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in southwestern France. It is now planted in many of the world's wine regions, producing a crisp, dry, and refreshing white varietal wine.
Location of our vineyards: Etchevarría, Canelones, Uruguay, located just 25 km away from the Rio de la Plata.
Soil: Calcareous and permeable undulating fields.
Harvest-Date: Early February
Harvest: Manually collected in 18 kg boxes.
Fermentation: 15 days
Malolactic Fermentation: No.
Oak ageing: Unoaked.
Description: We express in this 100 % Sauvignon Blanc, the potential of our land, obtaining a well balanced wine, which presents on nose fresh fruit and herbaceous notes. On the palate it is intense and delicate at the same time.
Food Pairing: It is a perfect match for sea food and fishes with tasty sauces.
Recommended Serving Temperature: 8º to 10ºC.
