Our wines are
born from grapes that are grown in our own vineyards, located in Etchevarría,
Canelones, in the South of Uruguay. The soils in this region form mild slopes
which are argillaceous, calcareous and semi-permeable.
We are located in a strategic region for viticulture and winemaking. The
fact that we are at the 34th Parallel south latitude, means that we have
a warm climate with Mediterranean features which are pronounced by the influence
of the ocean and, at the same time, softened by the estuary of the River
Plate. Our vineyards lie just 40 km away from the sea. Therefore, the weather
is warm and sunny at daytime and cool at night. These conditions offer the
ideal frame for our vines to obtain their optimum growth and expression.
Among our vineyards we have varieties such as: Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Semillón and Sauvignon
Blanc.
